Don't Be Afraid of The Dark

Don't Be Afraid of The Dark

From Canadian Director; Troy Nixey and writer Guillermo del Toro from Pan's Labyrinth

Bailee Madison-Sally Hirst
Katie Holmes- Kim
Guy Pearce- Alex Hirst

A young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own.

While it's pleasantly atmospheric & initially quite scary, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark ultimately fails to deliver the skin-crawling chills of the original, that being said, I am immune to scary movies. So if you are one who scares quite easily you will find this scary. The setting is spooky, the creatures would scary, this movie delivered a good story, even if it wasn't spooky for me, and the twist at the end is so worth it. =)

Cheers!

Crazy Stupid Love

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Directed by:  Glenn Ficarra and John Requa
From writer Dan Fogelman- Cars, Bolt & Tangled(Screenplay)

Steve Carell- Cal Weaver                      Jonah Bobo-Robbie Weaver
Julianne Moore- Emily Weaver              Joey King- Molly Weaver
Emma Stone - Hannah                            Analeigh Tipton- Jessica
Ryan Gosling- Jacob Palmer                  Kevin Bacon- David Lindhagen

A middle-aged husband's life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a new-found friend Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.

Often romcoms are cheesy and fall short, but this film had a well developed plot, character development and the humor was believable and related to the audience. Nothing was too over the top but I just couldn't stop laughing! Everyone plays there part perfectly, and you feel for each of them in an individual way.

Enjoy! =)

French Bread Stuffed with Meat Sauce

Hey this is a really simple meal I make often. I tae my left over spaghetti sauce reheat and  add peaches and cream corn for a bit of sweetness. Then you cut a ravine in the center of the bread fill with heated sauce top with cheese and put in oven(on broil) to warm and melt cheese.

Mhhhhhmmmm Delicious!
